Our Story

The story starts with a young girl's deep concern for the less fortunate in her community, specifically the homeless and those affected by food insecurity. But as time went by, this concern grew into a passionate mission shared by families all across Hamilton County, who also wanted to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

Get to Know Us

A community thrives when its residents can provide for themselves and their families. Meeting the needs of people in emergencies or crises is our passion. We serve our community directly (clients) and indirectly (Network). We are convinced that a combination of things affect the stability of individuals and families, including: education and training, sufficient income, and even an understanding of health issues. Addressing these and other life issues affects people's basic needs - and that, in turn, strengthens our community. Our goal is to provide a hand-up and strong opportunities for personal empowerment. Working to achieve a healthy, strong, and vibrant Hamilton County.

Serving Hamilton County

GSN 44 YEARS ICON_2024.png

At the Good Samaritan Network (GSN), our mission is to serve the needs of Hamilton County residents who are at risk or underserved. We understand that life can be tough sometimes, and we're here to offer a helping hand. GSN is a collaborative network of non-profit organizations, social services, local government, pantries, and businesses that work together to ensure that those in our community who are at-risk have access to the support and resources they need.  We use two different methods of helping people: direct services and indirect services. Our goal is to ensure that each person who comes to us for help gets the support they need in the most efficient and effective way possible. We care deeply about our community and are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those we serve.

Financial partners support nonprofit organizations like the Good Samaritan Network (GSN). At GSN these partners provide essential funding, guidance, and expertise that help us maintain financial stability and make a positive impact as we serve the Hamilton County community. In addition to financial support, these partners also offer valuable networking opportunities, connections to potential donors, and access to resources that enable us to achieve our goals, consistently serve families, and improve our programs and services. With them, GSN continues to sustain an integral footprint and fulfill its mission of meeting the needs of people in Hamilton County.
